The IHHS choir has been performing on the Radio City stage for years now, and this year, the choir prepared a wonderful set of Christmas classics to perform. With the help of the Choir Director, Mrs. Hreema, their wonderful voices and smiling faces surely brightened up everyone’s day.
Returning students will recall what it was like to perform on such a big stage in front of a huge crowd. Nerves and excitement do tend to set in, but once on that stage, all worry washes away as they sing their hearts out. Victoria Brock, a sophomore who attended the Radio City Trip last year, reflects on how “it’s such a big stage and is such a great experience, for any freshmen who are in choir I would totally recommend doing it.” Brock adds how“Getting lunch with friends and getting out of school for a day, who wouldn’t want to go on this trip! I would have never seen the Rockettes perform if I didn’t get to go with everyone in the choir.”
Senior Victoria Fox who has never missed a performance yet, shares this sentiment, saying the trip is “like a tradition, and an amazing way to kick off the holiday season.” Fox adds that the trip allows students to “spend time with friends and classmates in New York which is such a great experience.”
Overall, the IHHS choir has had both a successful and fun trip to Radio City, spreading their wonderful music and Braves’ spirit in New York.
