We all understand the expense burden of holiday gift shopping. Between parents, siblings, and friends, it can be difficult to find gifts that are suitable for each person yet don’t drive a hole through your pocket. Loop in teachers, neighbors, coworkers, the mailman—the list goes on— and suddenly you’re starting to feel a bit less spirited and a bit more like Ebenezer Scrooge — all too ready to throw in the towel.
You are not alone, and don’t worry: the work has been done for you. The following is a compilation of potentially cheap yet thoughtful holiday gifts for all those you know or wish to share some holiday cheer with this season.
1. Bluetooth Shower Speaker
While not the most personalized of gifts, a Bluetooth speaker can still show your care for the one receiving such a gift. For music lovers, the gift could be a great way to acknowledge that you know them well, and if you want to go above and beyond, you could even make them a personalized playlist to go with it.
2. Makeup
Makeup is one of the most popular gifts to give a friend. Makeup supplies are in high demand and are always available at malls. They are a great way to express your personality. With so many personalized brands and items, getting someone their preferred makeup could show you listen and take note of their preferences.
3. New Clothes
Many would definitely agree that new clothes are always a must, and getting someone an article of clothing in their style can truly show your attentiveness and care.
4. Jewelry
Jewelry can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether it be from a designer store, a family heirloom, or even a thrift store, jewelry provides people with a physical piece of you that they can carry around wherever they go.
5. Water Bottle
Hydration isn’t just a pretty colored bottle, but a need. Though a pretty bottle always helps. Water bottles are efficient and helpful presents, while still being relatively cheap, making them a great last-minute gift. With new brands out as well like Cirkul and Air-Up to make water more flavorful and interesting, that could be an appreciated gift.
6. Handmade Gifts
A handmade gift always comes from the heart whenever somebody puts their time into making it. You can make bracelets or a painting to give to a friend, family member, or significant other. Even a heartfelt card will matter.
7. Books
One of the best gifts you can give to somebody that will keep them occupied over the holidays is a book. Books are cheap and affordable but also thoughtful. Everybody who loves books adores the thought of staying cozy and reading all day long. It’s a great gift to give somebody, even if it is last minute. Adding personal annotations could add a personal touch to it as well.
8. Stickers
Stickers are a fun way to express one’s personality and are a great gift to give your friends. They are super fun and cheap. You can get a pack of them for around $10.
10. Candles
Scented items are always nice to have in your room or around the house. It is also a gift to give to a friend to keep the smell of the holidays in their home. You can find candles all over and are easily accessible.
No matter the time of year, the right gift can make someone’s day. So, next time you’re in search of a present, look for something that will make them proud or feel appreciated, there is no such thing as a “right price.”
