In their game against Fairlawn on October 12th, the Indians Hills football team was victorious. The game ended with a score of 23-6 in favor of the Braves. This was a great win after the last five games resulted in losses for the team. The Braves’ record is now 1-5 for the season, and Fairlawn is now 0-5. The terrific win would not have been possible without the athletes who devote 6 days a week to practice.

Several athletes particularly stood out in this game. One athlete who stuck out was senior, Nate Exil, for scoring three touchdowns. Nate wears number 4 on the field and plays as wide receiver and defensive back. In the game, Nate scored the touchdowns from a fumble return, blocked punt recovery in the endzone, and a pass from quarterback, Carson Alnor. For his role in the game, Nate Exil was chosen as the overall Indian Hills player of the game. Also, Nate has earned a total of 114 yards in his junior and senior years alone.

Our quarterback, Carson Alnor, also excelled in this game. Carson threw a completed pass to Nate Exil for a touchdown. Carson also threw 189 yards in the game, bringing his total career passing yards to 631 yards. As a junior, Carson is number 11 on the field and continues to do well in every game. He is definitely a player to watch for the rest of the season and next year as well.

The last player who excelled in the Saturday afternoon game was senior Aidan Chumas. Aidan is number 16 and plays outside linebacker and wide receiver. Aidan had 96 receiving yards, and 6 catches in the game. This raised his career total to 237 receiving yards.

This was a very compelling game because of the exciting plays and final score. Nate Exil, Carson Alnor, and Aidan Chumas were part of the reason that the game ended in victory. Without their support, the game would not have ended in a victory for the Braves.
